The Emery High golf team hosted a region match on Sept. 17. Teams from Grand County, San Juan, North and South Sevier all competed in the event. The Spartans finished strong with a second place win.
Golf coach, Neil Peacock explained that McClain Allred finished in second place with his score of 79. The first place golfer finished with a 76, meaning that Allred’s score was close to leading the pack.
The following scores for the Emery High match were determined by adding the top four scores of each team.
Grand County 325
Emery 335
South Sevier 345
North Sevier 395
San Juan High 436
The Spartans will compete on Sept. 24 at Palisades.
