The Lady Spartans invited San Juan into town on Tuesday for their first region contest at home. Neither team could get anything going in the first half as the game was tied nil, nil at half.
Emery was able to break through in the second half to go up 1-0. It then added an insurance goal and went on to win 2-0.
With the victory, the Lady Spartans (4-5, 3-0 Region 12) remain undefeated in region, but they will face their toughest test of the season against Richfield (7-2, 2-1 Region 12) on Thursday in Castle Dale.
