A texting scam is gaining traction throughout Castle Country according to local reports.
Local residents have reported text messages claiming to be from Emery Telcom. The message claims that the receiver will receive an iPad if they call back in the next five minutes. Emery Telcom has confirmed that these messages are not from the company and this is a scam.
Please don’t call or text back to these messages. As a reminder, never give your personal information via text message to unknown parties or let messengers have access to your computer.
