Emery was looking to sweep the Broncos when San Juan came to town on Friday afternoon. After giving up a run in the top of the inning, the first eight Spartan batters reached base safely and came around to score. Emery would bat around and take a commanding 8-1 lead. The Spartans scored in every inning and ended the game in five, 14-4.
On the mound, Luke Stilson picked up the win and gave up three earned runs while striking out five batters. Jax Madsen went 3-3 from the leadoff spot with a walk while Oakley Alton hit a bases-clearing triple and recorded four RBIs. Gannon Ward had a couple extra base hits, a double and a triple, to go along with his three RBIs. The final triple of the contest was recorded by Tyler Stilson. Emery (9-2, 4-0) will be off this week due to spring break, but will pick things back up on April 13 against South Sevier (3-4, 2-2) in Monroe.
