Looking to avenge a loss to the South Sevier Rams just a couple of days prior, the Emery Lady Spartans did so, in convincing fashion.
Emery pounded five home runs on Friday against the Rams, taking the game in five innings, 22-12.
Megan Dawes, Addy Healy, Raegan Rasmussen, Carlie Robinson and Bralin Wilde all homered in the game, combining for 14 RBIs. Wilde’s home run was a grand slam. She finished with a team-high five RBIs. Dawes, Robinson, Bailey Huggard and Morgann Donaldson each added three RBIs apiece in the game as well.
Wilde’s grand slam came in the bottom of the fourth, breaking an eight-all tie. Emery scored 16 runs in the inning.
Huggard got the win the circle after going 4 2/3 innings.
Emery (6-4, 2-1 Region 15) will travel to San Juan on Tuesday for a matchup with the Broncos.
