The Lady Spartans earned an important win on Thursday as the team edged out the Grand Red Devils on their home field.
Emery dominated in the first half, grabbing two goals for the board while shutting out Grand. The Red Devils responded after the break, earning two of their own.
The Lady Spartans’ lone goal of the second half secured the Region 15 win for the traveling team, 3-2.
Jocee Funk led Emery on the offensive end, earning two for her team. Morgan Hurdsman also helped out the Spartans with a goal of her own.
With only two games remaining in region play, Emery currently sits in second place in Region 15. Two games await the Spartans next week as the team looks to wrap up region play.
