For the second time this season, the Lady Spartans bested North Sanpete to place them on top of the Region 15 standings. Emery won Thursday’s game in Mount Pleasant following overtime, 3-2.
The teams were evenly matched through the first, taking a 1-1 tie into the break. Both teams notched one more apiece in the second, sending the game into overtime.
Emery scored the game-winning goal in overtime, taking the 3-2 win.
Alexis Winter, Morgan Hurdsman and Shelbee Murdoch each score a goal apiece in the game.
Emery (8-2, 4-1 Region 15) will return home to host Grand (3-4, 1-4 Region 15) on Thursday at 4 p.m. The Lady Spartans bested Grand 5-1 back in August.
