After coming all the way back from 16 points in the second half for the win on Friday against San Juan, the Emery Spartans again found themselves on the wrong end of the huge lead Wednesday night with North Sevier in town. The Spartans overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to run away with the 64-54 win.
Kevin Butler nearly posted a triple double, finishing the night with 12 points, nine blocks and eight rebounds. Tyson Roper had a big second half, scoring 18 on the night.
Emery outscored the Wolves 45-24 in the second half.
The Spartans (9-5, 2-0 Region 15) will need to play two halves of great basketball on Friday when they travel to Monroe to take on the South Sevier Rams (10-4, 1-1 Region 15) at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on ETV Channel 10.
