After a long offseason, Emery opened the doors of the Spartan Center once more for a contest with American Heritage. The Spartans made quick work of the Patriots outscoring them 17-8 in the first quarter. Emery kept its foot on the gas pedal to take a 37-23 lead into half time.
The Spartans completely closed the door with a huge 26-10 third quarter. They would go on to topple the Patriots 83-49. Brax Jensen led all scorers with 33 points going 5-11 from three (45%) and 11-17 (65%) from the field. He also recorded eight assists and five steals. Kyler Wilstead added 13 points, eight rebounds and five steals. Jordan Ekker and Riggs Griffin chipped in four and three steals respectively to help bring the Spartan total to an astounding 21 steals on the night.
Emery (2-0) will be on the road when it returns to action on Wednesday, December 4th against Delta (0-2). The Rabbits fell in overtime at home to Grantsville and lost by one point to Stansbury.
