For the second time this season, the Emery Spartans beat 3A Union in Castle Dale Wednesday, 15-4. It was the highest offensive output for the Spartans all year. The win snapped Emery’s three-game losing streak.
Kyler Stilson picked up the win on the mound. Bruce Dugmore tripled and Jordan Baletka doubled twice in the game, in which the Spartans bashed 15 total hits.
Emery led 8-1 after two innings of play and never looked back. The Spartans beat the Cougars on March 29 4-3.
Emery (4-12, 1-5 2A East) will host North Sevier (15-2, -6-1 2A East) on Friday.
