The Emery High Spartans wrestling team opened its season on Tuesday night in a home matchup against Canyon View High.
The Canyon View team proved too much for Emery on the mat. Despite some hard fought battles, the Spartans fell 57-18 in their season opener.
The team will now take a short break before suiting up to hit the mat at the Salem Hills Tournament on Dec. 5 and 6.
