Carbon County makes a concentrated effort to ensure that their employees are recognized for their hard work and initiative. Each month, an employee of the month award is given at the first commission meeting of the month. In July, this honor was given to Carbon County local Amy Jones.
Jones works tirelessly to train individuals through the Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) team. Rose Barnes first spoke about Jones, stating that she wears many hats and is, personally, a wonderful person.
Carbon County Emergency Operations Director Justin Needles also spoke regarding Jones, stating that she performs many trainings and helps to make sure that everyone is prepared for any situation at hand. Jones helps to ensure that those she works with are well-versed in safety.
“We wanted to say thank you for all you’ve done for us,” Needles said.
Jones was presented with a plaque by Barnes and her photo will be on display in the administration building for the remainder of the month.
