The Fierce Grand Prix Semi Final is slated to take place at the Carbon County Events Center on Saturday. This particular fight, organized by Fierce MMA owner Cody Bunderson, will feature Thiago Alves, Dustin Jenkins, Bobby King and Nate Kearsley as well as local fighters Holden Sorenson, Nick Teny, Blanca, Tyler Polito and Aaron Lee.

This night will be the continuation of the pro-fighters lightweight grand prix tournament. Some known pro-fighters in the country that are wanting to secure a spot in the finals will be competing and ten fights are scheduled on the card.

Last year around the holidays, Fierce MMA hosted a “Fierce Feast” dinner that offered meals to anyone that was hungry, featuring a huge chili cook-off right in the gym. This year, Bunderson and partner Derek Gale felt the need to give back to the community with the proceeds from one of the hosted fights. This prompted Bunderson to speak with individuals on which organization would best benefit.

When Bunderson was informed of Carbon Caring for Kids, he felt instantly drawn to the goal of the organization, which is to ensure that local children do not go home from school hungry. After a call with the organization’s spearhead Marcy Loveless, the decision was made to donate the fight’s proceeds to Carbon Caring for Kids.

“That one just kind of really hit home,” Bunderson said.

Doors open on Saturday evening at 5 p.m. and the fights are scheduled to begin promptly at 6 p.m. Tickets are $30 for general admission, which is bleacher seating. Those that wish for a different experience can purchase VIP tickets for $50, which includes a barbecue dinner with sides and a drink.

Tickets can be purchased from any fighter listed, at the door the night of the fight or by visiting www.fiercefightingchampionship.com.
