The first Carbon County Commission meeting in June commenced on Wednesday evening during its regularly scheduled time. One of the first agenda items tackled at this meeting was the announcement of the June Carbon County Employee of the Month.
This honor was presented to sheriff’s office employee Erik Buchmiller by Rose Barnes, director of human resources for the county, and Carbon County Sheriff Jeff Wood. Buchmiller was nominated by several employees that deemed his efforts worthy of recognition.
Sheriff Wood stated that Buchmiller has many unique assignments within the sheriff’s office, including the community supervision tracker, working in drug court, court security and more. Sheriff Wood went on to explain that Buchmiller has the sort of job that he will never know for sure what he is going to do day to day.
Continuing his praise of Buchmiller, Sheriff Wood stated that his level of professionalism and job nature is prudent to his success. Buchmiller accepted the plaque in recognition of the honor and was thanked for all that he does.
