It is with both happiness and sorrow that the staff at ETV 10 News announces the resignation of long-term editor and manager Shannon Heugly as she moves from the area to peruse new opportunities. While Shannon will be greatly missed at ETV 10 and throughout the community, we are excited for her to begin a new chapter in her life.
Shannon began her work at ETV 10 in June 2011 as the host of ETV 10’s Castle Country Cooking. Her work for the entity quickly grew as she accepted the position of manager shortly after.
Since managing ETV 10, Shannon was instrumental in the birth of the weekly ETV 10 Newspaper. She also oversaw the growth of our organization’s website, local tv channels 6 and 10, and social media platforms. Shannon served as ETV 10’s editor, the long-time host of Castle Country cooking and the face of our organization throughout the community as she managed, trained and befriended many employees throughout the years.
In the community, Shannon was well known for her service in her spare time. She was a leader of the young women in her LDS ward, served on various boards and volunteered countless hours at fundraisers and community events.
For nearly 10 years, Shannon was a resident of Wellington where she raised three children. While one child attends Brigham Young University, her two other children will relocate with her as she begins the next chapter of her life in Huntsville, Utah.
The staff at ETV 10 News and Emery Telcom would like to graciously thank Shannon for her years of dedication to ETV 10, the local community and her staff. We wish her happiness and success in her future endeavors, and thank her for bringing success to our news organization over the past years.
