This Nurse Practitioner, Oncology provides primary care and treatment to cancer patients in a home and may also include virtual visits. This position is with Huntsman at Home – Rural program which includes patients living in Grand, Emery and Carbon counties. The Rural NP is involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of a seamless specialist service, ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of clinical care. The Nurse Practitioner, Oncology is responsible for Advance Care Planning and Goals of Care conversations with patients and their families. This position is responsible for contributing to the ongoing development of clinical practice, research and standards of care within the service, as well as policies, protocols, guidelines and service developments. This position ensures the safety and well-being of service users, working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person centered care principles. Dependent upon the department of hire, travel may be required. This position may be required to access and administer medications within their scope of practice and according to State Law. Care is appropriate to the population served.
