JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Information Systems/Communications Technician
Full time with full benefits, $21.20 per hour
Performs a variety of advanced, complex technical and general administrative duties related to the installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of data, networking, phone, computer management, communications systems, and related computer program application(s) supporting Emery County Departments, Elected Officials and customers in accomplishing State and local Statutes.
Additional Skills
Must be able to operate construction equipment, and a bucket truck and/or other equipment as needed.
Installation of equipment…such as wireless AP, cables, cameras and other equipment as needed.
Must be able to use a step ladder and extension ladder in reaching heights upwards of 35 feet, for installing equipment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Electronics Technology; AND/OR Five (5) years of related experience; IS technician in a public or private agency or business, working with complex networks and/or communications systems. Knowledge of cabling practices, electrical, information systems, database administration and/or communications technology; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be an Emery County resident or be able to relocate to Emery County.
