CASTLE DALE CORRECTION DEPUTY and PATROL DEPUTY

The Emery County Sheriff’s Office will be compiling a roster from which qualified individuals may be selected when openings for Correction and/or Patrol occur.
Applicants for the Correction Deputy roster must be a minimum of 19 years of age and applicants for the Patrol Deputy roster must be 21 years of age, and citizen of the United States. Applicants will be disqualified if they have been convicted, as defined under Utah law, of (a) any felony; (b) any Class A Misdemeanor; (c) domestic violence; (d) Class B Misdemeanor DUI within the last five years; or (e) any criminal offense involving moral turpitude.
Applicants must pass a physical agility test. This test will be given Saturday, January 25, 2025, to those who have submitted a resume and employment application for the Corrections and/or Patrol Roster. This test must be passed in order to possibly receive an interview.
Physical agility test parallels the P.O.S.T. physical testing and consists of a 1.5 mile run (15:37), pushups (16 reps), isometric plank (1 minute), and vertical jump (15 inches).
Applicants for employment may be required to undergo a drug test and an extensive background check as a condition of employment. Successful applicants must be a resident of Emery County or be willing to relocate.
