A fundraiser for Colton Torre and his battle with cancer will take place in Huntington on June 12 starting at 5 p.m.

Torre, 23, is the son of Tony and Ronni Torre of Huntington. In November, Torre was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Since then, he has battled numerous rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries. Now, Torre faces open heart surgery that aims to remove a growth on his heart.

It is hoped the fundraiser at the Huntington arena will help Torre’s battle against cancer. The fundraiser will feature some of his favorite things including a horseshoe tournament, a yard sale and jackpot team roping. Food will also be served.

Donations for the yard sale are still being accepted. Those wishing to donate may do so by taking items to Gordon’s Nursery & Floral (686 North 400 East in Huntington) between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monetary donations can also be made at Utah Power Credit Union by calling (435) 687-9535 and mentioning the Colton Torre Fundraiser.
