If you have ever been curious to know exactly how big a triceratops’ head used to be, now is your chance to find out. From now until the end of October, community members will be able to enjoy a special temporary exhibit at the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum.
The exhibit, entitled Clubs, Horns and Shields, showcases dinosaurs and creatures of various strengths that adept at fighting off predators with their thick exteriors, shells and horns. With a number of triceratops skulls, smaller swimming animals, turtles and more, the display is an impressive look back into history.
“With their extensive collection of armored dinosaurs, the Prehistoric Museum is the perfect venue for the Clubs, Horns and Shields Exhibition,” explained a representative of the exhibit.
Visitors are also given the chance to look at the before and after. Placed near the exoskeleton of each display, there is a drawing or painting of what the particular dinosaur or creature used to look like while it was living.
