Pet Contest

The Emery County Fair pet contest is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 3. The contest will take place in Castle Dale at the indoor arena at 10 a.m. Bring your favorite pet to show off! There will be prizes for biggest, smallest, most exotic and more!
Arm and Leg Wrestling
Come and participate in the original Strong Man Competitions! Join us for arm and leg wrestling competitions at the Emery County Fair by the pavilion at 3 pm on Saturday, Aug. 4. There will be competitions for men and women. Age divisions include 13-15 yrs, 16-18 yrs, 19-25 yrs and 25+ yrs.
Prizes will be given to the winner of each division as well as a grand prize for the winner of all winners for both the men and women for both the leg wrestling and arm wrestling. Prizes for the winners of each division include hammocks, outdoor games, etc. The grand prize for the arm wrestling is an inflatable paddle board for both the men and women divisions. The grand prize winners of the leg wrestling for both the men and women will receive an inflatable kayak.
Golf Tournaments

There will be two golf tournaments during the Emery County Fair this year. First up will be a night tournament on Friday, Aug. 3. Beginning at dusk, the four-person scramble costs $60 per person.

The following day, Saturday, Aug. 4, another four-person scramble will take place. The cost is $5 plus green fee and cart fee. The tournament will span the day and include a men’s and a mixed category. The event will consist of two, nine-hole tournaments on both the front and back nine. First and second place prizes will be awarded for each category per nine holes. Competitors are welcome to play as many time as they would like.

4-H Exhibits

Exhibits will be accepted July 31 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Emery County Recreation building. Produce, flower arrangements and other fresh exhibits will be accepted on Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Judging will begin shortly thereafter. NO 4-H exhibits will be accepted after this time. Go to https://www.utahstatefair.com/4hfood for further information on exhibits.

No school projects will be accepted as fair projects unless registered as a 4-H project by the teacher. All home canned products will need to have a label attached to the jar or bag it was preserved in. Those without labels will be accepted for display only and not judged.
