Ferron Elementary PTO hosted their annual Fall Festival on Thursday evening. The festival began with a couple of Halloween dance numbers performed by the Emotion Dance Studio. The evening continued with awarding the winners of the cake decorating contest, cake walk, bounce houses, hay rides, kid’s train ride, wood shavings dig, a chili cook-off and other indoor games. While the activities continued, silent auction tables surrounded a large portion of the gym. Meagan Crosland, PTO President commented, “The silent auction was fantastic.”

The students are always excited about the cake decorating contest and this year’s winners in K-3 grades were Sage Cook for Spookiest, Most Creative went to Leland Perez and Aleyiah Osbourne was awarded for Cutest. Fourth and fifth grades saw Spookiest going to Madison Darling while Most Creative was awarded to Brodie and Breigan Killpack. The awarding rounded out with Cutest going to Daytan Worwood. Stephanie Behling captured the honors in the first year chili cook-off contest.

The wood shavings dig was sponsored by Desert View Credit Union (DVCU), who supplied quarters, half dollars and other great prizes for the kids to find. DVCU also supplied the prizes for the cake decoration contest. The cakes were used for the cake walk. The Ferron Elementary PTO are very grateful for all those who attended, furnished, donated, supported and otherwise helped making the event possible. The funds from this activity and other coming activities will be used to purchase a new marquee for the school.
