On Jan. 1, faculty of Green River High School received an email explaining that there would be police presence at the high school upon returning from the holiday break on Wednesday morning due to a false threat made toward the high school at the end of December.
The notification was as follows:
“Students, parents, faculty and staff;
There has been a FALSE threat made against Green River High School via SnapChat. The Emery County Sheriff’s office is handling the situation. There will be no danger upon returning to school after the holiday break. However, to ensure our school’s safety, we will have deputies at the school on Jan. 2.
