The annual Carbon County Fair took place largely over the weekend of August 18 to August 20. The fair was hosted at the Carbon County Fairgrounds and offered many different activities and features for attendees to enjoy. Some of the amenities offered included an animal expo, a laser tag area, a kids rodeo, live entertainment, booths and more.
This year’s fair was the inaugural endeavor of Frank Ori, the new director for the Carbon County Fairgrounds. Ori recently took the place of Rhonda Peterson, who retired earlier this year. The new director aimed to bring fresh activities to the fair, which were evident in hot air balloon rides and the Magical Minute to Win It, where fair attendee Kylie Kulow won a family trip to Disneyland.
