Ferron City’s annual Peach Days celebration welcomed a variety of activities, competitions and fun last week as crowds flocked to the city.
The four-day celebration kicked off on Wednesday with exhibits in the city hall and a bike ride to conclude the evening at the Mayor’s Park. Thursday brought out the creative side of attendees during the sidewalk Picasso event. A breakaway competition, team roping and dessert contest rounded out the day.
Friday featured an array of entertainment with the Ferron’s Got Talent show, a musical performance by the Straight Canyon Band and fireworks at dusk.
Saturday was jam packed beginning with the Field of Flags ceremony as well as a breakfast to benefit the fire station. The activities extended to Millsite golf course with a golf tournament while others lined Main Street for the highly-anticipated parade. Free activities for the entire family took place following the parade at the Mayor’s Park. Horse races, a cornhole tournament, a soapbox derby and more rounded out the celebration.
