Ferron City has quadrupled in size in the last 24 hours as the Southeastern Utah Jr. Livestock Show began Wednesday. Exhibitors from near and far came to weigh in and enter their animals. Many were towing camp trailers, travel trailers, tents or just sleeping bags and pillows for residency in the coming days.
An exhibitor’s meeting was followed by dinner on Wednesday. Thursday, the judging of each specie, including goats, swine, beef and lambs, kicks off in the morning. The evening’s entertainment, Hyno Hick, will begin at 7 p.m.
Friday will play host to showmanship competitions, an ice cream social and awards, and the annual stock show dance.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the auction of the sale animals at the sales barn will begin.
