With the Ferron City Peach Days celebration steadily approaching, the need for the 2019 royalty to be chosen arose once again. This year’s Peach Days Pageant was hosted at Emery High School on Friday evening.

A Disney feel was in the air as the theme was centered around Aladdin with “A Friend Like Me” as the tagline. The junior contestants were Natalie Pace, Sophia Gardner, Cheyenne Bingham, Courtney Behling, Emilee Mortensen and Emily Pace. The senior contestants were Miranda Pace, Kelsey Hulse, Lyndsie Burgess and Dallas Harris.

This year’s directors were Anjelena Behling and Suzette Pace, with Behling’s husband acting as MC for the evening. The night was kicked off with a presentation of the flag, followed by an opening number performance by the 2018 Miss Peach Days Queens, Tia and Faryn Hulse, as well as the contestants.

While the royalty from 2018 had special performances throughout the evening, the pageant focused largely on the judges getting to know the 2019 contestants in order to make the best choice.

After a talent portion consisting of singing, dancing, playing instruments and more, the contestants displayed their evening gowns and answered a single onstage question. The interviews were hosted privately by the judges earlier that day. A slideshow presentation was shown of the contestants to showcase who they are outside of the pageant before the choices were made.

Finally, the judges chose the right girls for the crowns.

The Miss Photogenic award was given to Dallas Harris while Cheyenne Bingham and Lindsey Burgess were crowned as Miss Congeniality for the junior and senior division, respectively. Bingham also took the crown for most ticket sales.

Then, the highest overall score for each division were announced with Kelsey Hulse and Courtney Behling recognized for the interview portion and Sophia Gardner taking the top spot in evening wear, talent and the onstage question. The junior second attendant went to Gardner as well.

The Junior Miss Peach Queen went to Cheyenne Bingham. The first attendant in the senior division was Miranda Pace and the 2019 Miss Peach Days Queen crown was given to Kelsey Hulse.
