Fifth Grade Bears Graduate D.A.R.E. Program

Fifth grade students at Bruin Point Elementary graduated from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program on Wednesday. A total of 11 students graduated the program this year.

D.A.R.E is an international program that teaches students effective ways to resist drugs and violence. Bruin Point has been incorporating the program into its school for many years.

Police chief Sam Leonard taught the fifth graders and presented them with their graduation certificates.
