A house fire in Huntington resulted in a complete loss for a local couple on Saturday.
According to a GoFundMe account that was created for Alex Martinez and Keara Maxfield, the couple lost nearly everything in the fire. Three pets perished in the disaster.
Neighbor Valerie Goold stated how fortunate she was for the quick response time from emergency personnel. “Fortunately, it was a Saturday and the fire fighters were able to respond and be there so quickly. The house fire was very loud, fast and furious. [It] was pretty much done in about 20 minutes,” Goold said.

“Alex and Keara are getting married in September and are two of the most wonderful caring and helpful people you will ever meet,” the GoFundMe account shares. “Please help them rebuild and try to get over this horrible tragedy.”
