With the summer months officially here, Helper City wished to celebrate the youngsters and another school year completed during June’s First Friday event.

This was accomplished with a type of scavenger hunt that was hosted along Helper’s Historic Main Street. Children and teens were invited to Beg, Borrow and Steele, where they could pick up a free coloring page with a list of various stores, galleries and more located on Main Street.

By visiting each of these locations, those that participated were able to snag a different type of goodie, such as candy, along their route. Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman remarked that this was the city’s way of giving back to the youth and offering them something fun to do as summer begins.

The locations that participated in the scavenger hunt were Balance Rock Eatery, R&A Market, Bug and Bird, Beg, Borrow and Steele, Friar Tuck’s Barber Shop, 3 On the Tree, Aunt Nell’s Soda Shop, PRMG Drigg’s Mortgage Team and Happiness Within.
