The public is cordially invited and encouraged to attend Flag Day ceremonies on Friday, June 14 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of 100 North and 100 East in Price, just behind the city’s fire station.
The Benevolent and Protect Order of Elks, Lodge 1550, will begin, presenting the history of our country through our nation’s flags. Afterward, The American Legion, Post 3, Price, will conduct a flag retirement ceremony, properly and respectfully disposing of flags.
If your home, business or agency has been flying flags through this winter’s storms, the flags may be considered non-serviceable if faded, dirty or torn. Please consider participating in this time-honored ceremony practiced in accordance with the U.S. Flag Code by bringing your flags to the ceremony.
For more information, please call the American Legion Post 3 at (435) 630-8474.
