Fireman and law enforcement officers rushed to the northeast subdivision in Orangeville to assist citizens who were caught in flash floods Tuesday night.
A break in water barriers in Little Valley cause the canal to overflow, which sent water gushing down the wash an into roads and houses.
Water threatened many houses throughout the subdivision.
Crews frantically worked to remove water from flooding basements via pumps. Crews also filled sandbags and built walls designed to protect the undamaged houses.
Anna Turner, Orangeville, said, “From my house it doesn’t look like anything is even wrong, but we are definitely concerned for our neighbors’ houses and hope they are alright.”
