Jayden Flemett bashed his first home run of the season against the Grand Red Devils Saturday, leading the Carbon Dinos to the 6-2 win.
Chase Morgan and Zac Bradley combined to allow just one Grand hit in the game. Both Red Devil runs were unearned. Morgan went five innings for the win. Bradley came on in relief for the sixth and seventh innings.
Flemett went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He had two RBIs in the game as well. Cody Lowe went 3-4 with an RBI, and Ty Anderson and Gavin Robinett each had two hits apiece, adding another two RBIs combined.
After falling behind 2-0 after the second inning, the Dinos finally broke through in the fourth with two runs, adding another two in the fifth. Carbon rounded out the scoring in the seventh with an additional two runs.
Carbon (4-4, 0-0 Region 12) will have two games this week against the Union Cougars, on Tuesday in Helper and in Roosevelt on Friday.
