An intense storm brought water and mud flowing out of Meads Wash in North Price on Thursday afternoon. 800 North near Cedar Hills drive was covered with a couple on inches of mud after the water subsided.
The Price River was also flowing above capacity Thursday evening. A section of the Price River Trail was closed due to high water which made it’s way up to the walkway near Fresh Market.
Emery County also seen it’s share of flooding following heavy rainstorms. Earl and Fern Snow reported roadways were covered in debris, mud and water near Joe’s Valley dam Reeder Subdivision.
Huntington Canyon remains closed due to heavy flooding. Burn scars from last year’s Seeley Fire continue to pose flooding and mud slide dangers. The canyon is expected to be reopened Friday afternoon.
Clean up continues throughout both counties and residents are reminded to be careful near waterways especially during and following rainstorms.
