The first Monday of the month is again designated as Poke Monday. Each elementary student participating in school lunch will be given a Pokemon card.
Our first Poke Monday provided students with delicious, juicy oranges. We serve oranges that are grown in the U.S. They are a popular fruit because they are naturally sweet, low in calories and full of nutrients. Going into cold and flu season, they are particularly important as a great source of Vitamin C.
Eating an orange with lunch provides more than 100% of the recommended Vitamin C needs for the day. Poke Mondays are fun and healthy!
