Food for Thought: Radishes

We are getting rave reviews for radishes! A generation ago, radishes were much more common at the dinner table and were considered a mainstream vegetable. In eastern medicine, their natural spice is used to help soothe sore throats and clear stuffed sinuses.

They are rich in Vitamin C and are packed with phytonutrients, fiber and cancer-preventing vitamins and minerals. Radishes are at the top of our list of veggies to pay more attention to and add to our daily list especially in spring and early summer when grown locally and picked at their height of freshness and flavor.

Sliced thin, kids will enjoy their natural zing and crunchy texture!
