Food for Thought: Raspberry

One of our students’ favorite fresh fruits to try is the delectable red raspberry. Whenever possible, we find fresh raspberries to serve for school lunch. We are proud to provide raspberries locally grown in the US. Raspberries are packed with nutrients and have several health benefits, including strengthening the immune system and reducing free radicals.

Fresh raspberries are highly perishable and have to be served quickly after picking so they are a very special treat. Our students love this sweet, healthy berry!
