Ascension St. Matthew’s Church is eagerly preparing for its annual Fall Fare, a high-anticipated event that takes place each year in October. Per tradition, the Fall Fare will be a two-day event featuring a silent auction, food, the church’s gift shop and more.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, Oct. 13, at 5 p.m. Running through 8 p.m., attendees can enjoy homemade soups and chilis, baked treats and canned garden goods. Bidding for the silent auction will also take place throughout the evening with items from downtown merchants as well as ASM members.
Then, on Saturday, members of the community can continue at the Fall Fare from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Breakfast casseroles, along with coffee and tea, will be available for purchase. While bidding for the silent auction ends at 12 p.m., attendees can make their way over the the church’s gift shop throughout the day to browse one-of-a-kind items such as jewelry, Christmas items, crafts and more.
Proceeds from the Fall Fare will directly benefit the community as part of Ascension St. Matthew’s outreach program. Some funds will also be used for the church’s building fund, which aims to improve the ASM building for members and visitors alike.
