Emery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Egan Smith (left) graduated from the Department of Public Safety Utah Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) Law Enforcement Academy on June 9.

Egan was hired as a civilian dispatcher in October 2014. He graduated from the Utah Department of Corrections Training Academy, Pre-Service Academy in October 2015. Prior to his employment at ECSO, Egan was a pitcher for the major league baseball team the Toronto Blue Jays 2009-2013.

Just a few days prior to his graduation from POST, Egan’s wife gave birth to their first child. CONGRATULATIONS DEPUTY EGAN SMITH on graduating and the birth of your baby!
