Cole Fossat struck out 16 North Sanpete batters in the Carbon Dinos’ 6-1 win on Tuesday.
Fossat pitched the complete game four-hitter to break Carbon’s two-game losing streak in Region 12. Fossat also hit a triple for the second time this season. Anthony Maclean also tripled and singled and had a RBI. Kaiden Lewis and Jacky Byrge both had a hit apiece and two RBIs.
The Dinos scored a run in each of the first, third and fifth innings and then plated three more in the sixth to earn their third Region 12 win on the season.
Carbon (7-10, 3-2 Region 15) will travel to Mt. Pleasant for another matchup with the Hawks on Thursday.
