Carbon senior standout Cole Fossat was named to the Deseret News’ 3A All-State First Team last week.

The shortstop and pitcher hit a 3A best seven home runs on the season and finished the year with a .532 batting average. His 12 doubles also led all of 3A. Fossat also finished the year with 23 RBIs and 41 total hits.

Fossat has already signed a letter of intent to play at USU Eastern next year.

Anthony Maclean and Cody Lowe were also named to the honorable mention team. Maclean was second on the team with 25 hits. Lowe, just a sophomore, hit .316 with 24 hits and 17 RBIs, good for second on the team.

Emery’s Bryce Dugmore was the lone Spartan on the 2A team, earning second team honors during his senior campaign.
