Price City Police Department Press Release
On Wednesday just before 11 a.m., Adult Probation and Parole Agents Tom Kosmack, Susan Hyde, John Powell and Aaron Powell were in Price conducting compliance checks with individuals they supervise. They came into contact with two persons they supervise at a northwest motel location in Price who were allegedly in violation of the terms of their agreements. These individuals were Tyler Jordon Gagon, DOB 1-22-95, of Price, and Christopher John Bright, DOB 4-1-82, of Helper. Also in contact with these two were Harley David Murray, DOB 2-20-83, of Price, and Kristen Ann Breitenbuecher, DOB 11-20-86, of Layton and with possible ties to Panguitch. The room was booked and paid for by Breitenbuecher. It should be noted a fourth adult male was also present, but was ultimately released with no charges.
The agents called for Price City Police Officer Shawn Sackett to assist them as the investigation unfolded.
Ultimately, Murray was cited and released for possession of personal use amount of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, both class B misdemeanors. He was then booked into jail for an active theft warrant out of the 7th District Court. According to court records, Murray has 16 previous arrests for offenses including theft, forgery, burglary, DUI and drug offenses.
Gagon was cited and released for misdemeanor criminal trespass and then booked into jail for a 72-hour hold for allegedly violating the terms of his probation agreement. Gagon has 10 previous arrests for offenses including alcohol violations, retail theft, failure to identify, unlawful use of another’s credit card, theft and drug violations.
Bright was booked into jail for a 72-hour hold for allegedly violating the terms of his parole. Bright has 19 previous arrests including violations for bad checks, drug violations, assault, brandishing a dangerous weapon, harboring a runaway, forgery, drug distribution, possession of stolen property and retail theft.
Agent Hyde located a woman’s makeup bag that had been hidden in the restroom of the motel room, and upon further inspection, officer Sackett located a significant quantity of drugs. The makeup bag allegedly belongs to Breitenbuecher. Sackett allegedly seized a number of items, including just under 12 grams of methamphetamine inside three different baggies, paraphernalia, including a digital scale for weighing out distributable amounts, a personal use amount of heroin and prescription pills. Sackett seized a total of $290 cash from Breitenbuecher.
Breitenbuecher was arrested and booked into jail for felony level possession of meth with intent to distribute, and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, heroin, paraphernalia and prescription pills (without a legitimate prescription). The Carbon County Attorney’s Office will review the police report to determine the appropriate formal charges.
Breitenbuecher has two previous arrests according to court records involving making a false report, disorderly conduct and false ID to police.
