Frank G. Marquez passed away February 9, 2019 in Salt Lake City after a brief stay at Highland Home Care where he was visited by many of his beloved extended family members over the months he was there.
Frankie was born January 9, 1941 to Frank and Lupe Marquez in Rosa, New Mexico. He grew up in Carbon County. His brothers are Ross Marquez and Tino Marquez. His sisters are Lorraine Helling, Lydia McDonald and Darlene Trujillo (Deceased).
Shortly after Frankie’s diagnosis, he said, “I have had a good life. I have traveled. I’ve had great friend and a great family. My life has been good.”
Married Shirley Madrid (Deceased) and they later divorced. Their children are Richard (Michelle) and Danielle (Deceased). Frank married Sue and they remained the dearest of friends after their divorce.
Grandchildren Craig, Katie, Rachael and Josh (Gringo), Megan, Kamille and Bridgette. Great grandchildren Harley, Karter, Noah and Gabriella. Also, Sue’s wonderful family, whom he loved. Veronica, Tony, Suzette, Jeffry and Lil Tony were very special to Frank.
Frankie loved sports and was a great supporter of local teams, often traveling out of town to attend their games and support the Dinos. He loved to fish and visited our many local lakes just to spend the day fishing and give away the bounty.
Frankie served his country honorably in the Armed Forces. He worked as a cement mason in Las Vegas for years, until he moved back to Price to start his own business.
We would like to extend a special thanks to our wonderful cousins and extended family, the Candelaria, Marquez, Mardrid and Mena families, for the kindness. Frankie loved to spend time with them. A special thanks to granddaughter Katie and brother Tino for their devotion and care.
A memorial will take place at a later date to celebrate the life of Frankie and share memories.
