Utah Division of Wildlife Resources Press Release

Ever wondered what it would be like to shoot a bow and arrow?

A golden opportunity will take place on March 3. That’s the day the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will host a free family archery clinic at the Emery County Recreation Center at 75 South 400 East in Castle Dale.

Families and individuals can come and try out the sport of archery between 6 and 8 p.m. Bows, arrows and targets will be provided, free-of-charge, to anyone who wants to participate.

“If you or your children have ever wanted to shoot a bow and arrow, this is a great opportunity to do so without buying equipment or making special arrangements,” stated DWR Regional Conservation Outreach Manager Brent Stettler.

Supervision, training on how to shoot a bow and arrow and all of the equipment necessary to participate will be provided.

“The event is free,” Stettler advised. “Pre-registration is recommended so we know how many persons to expect.”

For more information or to pre-register, call Stettler at (435) 613-3707 or send an email to: brentstettler@utah.gov.
