With fish biting in earnest, it was a perfect day for both beginner and experienced fishermen at a free fishing day event on Saturday.
A big crowd was present at the fishing pond at the Carbon County Fairgrounds on Saturday morning to try their hand at reeling in a catch. Division of Wildlife Resources officers were available to help beginner fishermen. The DWR also made fishing equipment available to those in attendance on Saturday.
In conjunction with the DWR, the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office were also in attendance and helped young anglers catch fish.
