A large crowd gathered Saturday morning at the community ice skating party at the Carbon County Fairgrounds. Children, adults and animals were tearing up the ice during the free event.
According to Carbon County Recreation Assistant Director Frank Ori, there were 204 people who pre-registered for the skating event. However, many more attended.
“It was one of Carbon County Recreation’s biggest days of participation,” Ori explained. “We estimate that over 400 people attended.”
Carbon County Recreation provided ice skates to participants while Main Street Grill, The Coffee Shop and Sutherlands provided either chili, hot chocolate, smores or firewood to make the event a success.
