Community members gathered at the Helper Auditorium to enjoy soup, salad and entertainment in support of Tait Levanger on Saturday. The event, a fundraiser entitled Singin’ for Your Supper, garnered the interest of many members of the community.

Levanger is a young boy who is suffering from leukemia. A total of nearly $3,000 was raised from the fundraiser, which will benefit the boy and his family as they face mounting medical bills.

The fundraiser was organized by Hollie and Cole Stapley. Several businesses, private entities and members of the community joined the pair to make the event a success. Helper City was also in the giving spirit by allowing free use of the facilities.

Throughout the evening, those in attendance were treated to a meal of soup and salad while enjoying the musical offerings of Levanger and a live band. A silent auction and bake sale was also hosted in conjunction with the event along with wine tasting provided by the Clampers.

“Thank you to everyone who attended or donated to the event,” said Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman. “Your generosity and kindness was greatly appreciated by the family.”
