On Feb. 8, Clint Conover passed away in an avalanche near Miller Flat. Buried by 6-8 feet of snow, rescuers were unable to reach the buried snowmobiler in time. Conover left behind a wife, Megan, and five children.
In order to assist the family with expenses acquired from the disaster, a golf tournament and raffle have been organized. The Clint Conover Memorial Golf Tournament will take place Saturday, March 15 at Millsite Golf Course. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and will be a three man scramble. Currently, there are about 26-28 teams signed up for the tournament, but there is still room for 6-7 more teams. Contact Jordan at (435) 749-9069 to sign up.
Event organizers have also obtained numerous prizes for a raffle that will take place following the golf tournament. The grand prize is Lasik eye surgery by a Standard Optical physician, which values at $3,500. Other prizes include a signed Utah Ute’s basketball and tickets, $200 gift certificates to Creative Gardens, sweaters, hats, coolers and much more.
To purchase raffle tickets, visit https://www.millsitegolfcourse.com/store/c2/Drawing.html or go to Zion’s Bank. Tickets may be purchased at any bank location and donations to the Megan Conover fund may be made there as well.
Raffle winners do not need to attend the golf tournament to win. Event organizers will contact prize winners following the event.
