Emery County Search and Rescue sponsored a fundraising spaghetti dinner for the Troy Winters family on Friday evening. The Winters family recently lost a son in an auto accident and now their younger son Eli, has been diagnosed with cancer. The crowd was overflowing at the Emery County Recreation Center on Friday evening.
A general auction, silent auction and raffle featured over 100 generously donated items. Wade Anderson was the auctioneer and his family assisted. Also lending a helping hand was the Emery High state champion girls’ basketball team and several other students from the local high school. Miss Emery County and Jr. Miss Emery County were also among the busy staff. The evening was a huge success and the Winters family was present to express their appreciation.
Funds raised at the event will directly benefit the Winters family as they overcome life’s hurdles.
