September 1 happened to be the very first Friday of the month. As is its new tradition, Helper City adorned their Main Street with vendors, gallery strolls and more to celebrate the second First Friday of the year.
New this month was a dog costume contest and parade. Many people donned their pups with costumes of all kinds such as hot dogs, sharks, inmates and the like. After everyone had a chance to vote for their favorite character, the dogs were able to show off in a dog parade.
Also available was the gallery stroll that takes attendees through the numerous art galleries that are found up and down Main Street, as well as a vape station, corn dogs, cotton candy and more. Helper City is already preparing for October’s First Friday event, which will take place on October 6.
